What happens if it rains during my roof replacement?

We monitor weather and schedule smartly. If rain pops up, we tarp and secure any open sections and pause work until it’s dry. Your home won’t be left exposed; we work in contained sections to keep everything watertight.

We almost always recommend a full tear-off. It lets us inspect decking or roof sheathing, replace bad wood, and install the full system correctly. While code may allow up to two layers in some cases, a tear-off delivers the best long-term performance and warranty outcomes.

How many shingle layers are allowed?

Local code generally allows up to two layers of asphalt shingles. For quality and inspection reasons, we remove existing layers during replacements so your new system starts on a sound, flat deck.

Do you require a deposit?

No. For most roof replacements and repairs, we do not require any deposit. With HomeHero Roofing you pay after the work is completed and you’re satisfied. The only exception is on very large projects (typically $30,000+) or special-order materials, where a modest deposit may be needed to secure the order. Even then, the bulk of payment isn’t due until the roof is finished. We do not ask for full payment unless the project is complete.

We accept checks and major credit cards. Financing is available for homeowners so you can spread payments over time. Ask during your estimate and we’ll outline current plans. You’ll never be asked to pay in full before the job is completed.

Will I receive a written contract?

When is payment due? Do you take progress draws?
